The Highwood Theatre has a limited need-based financial aid program. If you are interested in applying for financial aid, please fill out the Financial Aid Request Form above and submit by e-mail to email@example.com or mail to The Highwood Theatre's Mailing Address. You will not be able to register until you have heard back from us. In the meantime, please send us a quick e-mail letting us know your intent to apply for financial aid and which program you would like to register for. It is important you e-mail us immediately as this allows us to hold a spot for you in the program. Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee financial aid for all families who apply, but we will do our best! Financial aid is not available for registration fees or tickets.
Normally, you will pay for a program in full at the time of registration. Some programs may offer a payment plan. If your family needs to put your payment on a payment plan, please contact us to make arrangements prior to registering. A payment plan cannot be created after registration.
For all payment plans - credit card information will be provided upfront and payments will be automatically charged to that credit card on the agreed-upon dates. A Late Fee of 5% PER WEEK will incur for payments not made within the agreed-upon schedule.
Fall Conservatory Production: If you are offered a role in this program and you accept, you must pay the full fee ($275) upfront, unless a payment plan has been arranged. A Late Fee of 5% PER WEEK will incur for payments not made within the agreed-upon schedule.
Spring Conservatory Production: If you are offered a role in this program and you accept, you must pay the full fee ($775) upfront, or provide credit card information (in which case $175 will be charged upon acceptance and $150 will be charged on the first of each subsequent month - February, March, April, and May for the June show). A Late Fee of 5% PER WEEK will incur for payments not made within the agreed-upon schedule.
Invitation-Only Productions: If you are offered a role in this program and you accept, you must pay the full fee ($575) upfront in order to accept the role, or arrange a payment plan with Highwood.
Private Lessons: Private lessons carry a $25 non-refundable registration fee for each semester (Fall, Winter/Spring, Summer). When scheduling fewer than 5 lessons at one time, all payment is due upfront. When scheduling more than 5 lessons at one time, a three-lesson, non-refundable deposit is required to reserve lesson slots. The tuition balance is divided evenly by the number of months remaining in your lesson package and is withdrawn automatically on the dates specified. See below for other Private Lesson Policies.
Online payments are processed through Square, and may show up as such or as "Highwood Theatre" on your credit card statement. You may also register in person and bring a check or cash to our office.
ENROLLMENT, WITHDRAWAL, AND OTHER POLICIES
By registering for a Students' Theatre program at The Highwood Theatre, you agree to these policies.
The Highwood Theatre may close registration for programs that are filled, or cancel or alter classes that are undersubscribed.
If in the best interests of the program, The Highwood Theatre reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to dismiss a student for inappropriate or unsafe conduct at any time, without refund.
In the event of inclement weather or other circumstances beyond Highwood's control, The Highwood Theatre may determine it is necessary to cancel a rehearsal, performance, or other event or meeting. We will do our best to make-up lost time when possible, but we cannot guarantee it. No refunds or credits will be issued in the event of a weather or other uncontrollable event or closure. Information about such closings can be found on the homepage of our website or our Facebook page. We will also do our best to reach parents by e-mail or phone.
The Highwood Theatre reserves the right to use photographs and creative works taken or produced during our programs, without compensation, in advertisements and other marketing materials, both online and in print. The names of students will never be publicly identified in conjunction with these marketing materials unless prior permission is obtained.
Withdrawal from a program must be made in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org ONE WEEK prior to the program start date. Refunds, minus any non-refundable deposits or registration fees, will be made as soon as possible.
If you withdraw after this time, no refunds will be given. There are no exceptions.
Withdrawals up until 5:00 PM on the DAY PRIOR to the program start date are able to transfer their tuition to another program within the same season. No refunds will be given in this case.
Fees for the College Audition Mentorship Program are non-refundable after the FIRST Master Class date. There are no exceptions.
For all summer programs, no refunds are available after June 1. There are no exceptions.
Failure to make a payment by a scheduled due date may result in the loss of you/your child's place in a program.
In the event that a program has reached its maximum enrollment, you may not be able to register. In this case, please e-mail us and you will be placed on the Waiting List. If you are accepted off of the Waiting List, you will be responsible for immediately paying all fees due to date.
Conservatory Productions Only: Unless in the case of severe injury, illness, or another emergency circumstance accepted by Highwood, your acceptance of a place in this program indicates your willingness to pay the full fee amount. If you chose to withdraw from the program (except for reasons stated above) and are on the monthly payment plan, the remaining balance at the time of withdrawal will be charged to your credit card and no refunds will be made.
PRIVATE LESSON POLICIES
WHAT TO DO IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL A LESSON
If you know in advance that a lesson needs to be cancelled, please e-mail email@example.com no less than 3 days before your scheduled lesson and we will work with you to reschedule that lesson during the semester. In the event that the lesson cannot be rescheduled due to Highwood scheduling conflicts, you will not be charged for that lesson (or, if you have paid in full for the semester, the charge for that lesson will be refunded within 2 weeks). In the event that the lesson cannot be rescheduled due to your own scheduling conflicts, no refunds or credits will be issued.
If you notify us less than 3 days before your lesson, you will be charged for the lesson as scheduled and no make-up will be scheduled.
If your child is sick, or there is another emergency, please notify us as soon as you can explaining the situation. We cannot guarantee that your lesson can be rescheduled, but we will try our best. In the event that the lesson cannot be rescheduled due to Highwood scheduling conflicts, you will not be charged for that lesson (or, if you have paid in full for the semester, the charge for that lesson will be refunded within 2 weeks). In the event that the lesson cannot be rescheduled due to your own scheduling conflicts, no refunds or credits will be issued.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOUR TEACHER IS SICK OR UNABLE TO MAKE A LESSON
If your teacher knows about his/her absence well enough in advance, we will reschedule your child’s lesson. In the event that your teacher is sick or has to cancel last minute, we will do our best to arrange a substitute teacher. In the unlikely event that a substitute cannot be secured, we will notify you and reschedule that lesson.
WHAT IF YOUR CHILD DOESN’T LIKE HIS/HER TEACHER
Don’t worry! We have many qualified teachers for all of our private lesson areas. Sometimes, a student and teacher just don’t work well together. We urge you to let us know as soon as possible if your child is unhappy with his/her teacher. We will be happy to let your child try out other teachers!
